Jock is the het shipping between Brick and Jo from the Total Drama fandom.

Canon

Brick and Jo met on Total Drama: Revenge of the Island where they were also placed on the same team, the Mutant Maggots. The two quickly developed a rivalry, although they maintained respect for each other and even helped each other at times. The conflict developed as a result of their contrasting beliefs, with Jo valuing victory over friendships while Brick values taking care of his teammates more.

Both would also often compete against each other for the leadership of their team. While Jo ultimately won, Brick respected her victory, whereas she considered him a worthy ally. They would also compete against each other on numerous other occasions, including in the opening theme, with those usually being friendly competitions, such as racing or bragging whose morning training was more intense.

The rivalry became more intense once Brick switched teams, as could be seen in the following episode, where Brick and Jo had to compete against each other for a challenge. Another episode after, Jo was also switched to the Toxic Rats, meaning the two were on the same team again. While Brick welcomed her warmly, she threatened him that it would be her team.

Brick stood up to Jo, telling her there are rules she has to follow on her new team. However, despite also having a rivalry with him, Jo formed an alliance with their only other teammate left, Lightning, in order to eliminate Brick. With the cadet costing their team the challenge due to saving the lives of Cameron, Mike, and Zoey; Jo's competitive nature took over, and she voted him out, along with her newest ally.

Fanon

The ship sailed as a result of the friendly competition between the two. The fact that Jo was the main person Brick interacted with and that Brick was one of three main contestants Jo interacted with also helped. The ship was also further fueled by the fact that a similar conflict took place in the preceding season, which made a lot of fans believe Jock would go in the same or at least similar route.

As a result, the ship quickly became the most popular ship for both characters included. It's also the most written ship for both characters on Archive of Our Own. Its main ship rival is that of Jo and Lightning, however Jock wins in popularity. A "Brick vs. Jo" is also the most common choice for the final 2 of the season for many fans creating their own elimination orders.

As a result of the ship's popularity, many fans were disappointed when Jo's conflict with Lightning took over her conflict with Brick. They were also disappointed when it turned out Brick would not compete in Total Drama All-Stars, with one of the reasons being that the "Heroes vs. Villains" formula would make for some more competition between Brick and Jo, as they would be on the opposing teams.

• Knowing that Brick was originally supposed to compete in Total Drama All-Stars, it's likely that their rivalry was going to continue, especially with them being on opposing teams. However, the rivalry likely wouldn't have lasted long as a result of Jo's early elimination.
